The main objective of this course is that students acquire knowledge of the language that will allow them to communicate with fluency in ordinary daily situations.
Courses have been designed taking into account the specific needs of speakers of other languages who come to International House Montevideo – London Institute. The teaching staff is highly qualified and has great experience in teaching these courses.
As an added value, the course is backed by the Cervantes Institute from the University of Salamanca in Spain, the only institute that evaluates Spanish as a foreign language worldwide. International House Montevideo – London Institute is its only Associated Centre in Uruguay.
IH Montevideo has specialized in the teaching of Spanish for Speakers of Other Languages with an average of 60 students per month during low season months and more than 100 students in high season.
The foreign student who comes to study Spanish has an intense cultural and social Schedule, allowing him/her to use the language in real contexts.
There are endless opportunities to practice Spanish and to enjoy the country and its people: sports, cultural life, night life, travels, visits, excursions, etc. Foreign students who come to Uruguay to learn Spanish experiment the culture both of the country and of Latin America.
All courses are adapted to the needs of the participants and one of our major strengths is to design “Taylor made” courses. Classes are combined with learning outings, social and interest activities, making them more interesting and useful.
